Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was bulldozed on this pass protection rep.

The Dallas Cowboys have had little go right for them in what has been a nightmare of a 2020 season, with the offense completely hitting the skids after the Dak Prescott injury.

Ezekiel Elliott, who has seen his own performance decline this season, isn’t doing much to get back on the right track against the Washington Footbal Team, as the normally solid pass protector just put the worst rep of his career on tape.

When Washington linebacker Cole Holcomb came right through the middle, he wasn’t going to let the former All-Pro stop him from getting to Andy Dalton, as he bulldozed Elliott on the way to pressuring the nervous Dalton.

Ezekiel Elliott and the Cowboys are sputtering against Washington

Dalton isn’t looking much better in his second week as the Cowboys’ quarterback, as an early sack led to a safety while an overwhelmed offensive line struggles with Washington’s much-hyped pass rush led by rookie sensation Chase Young. Holcomb doesn’t blitz often, but he got his money’s worth on that rep.

The Cowboys defense has been shredded by a subpar Washington offense, as Kyle Allen looks like the second coming of Joe Theismann while Antonio Gibson has nearly 100 yards rushing in the first half. Mike Nolan’s defense is devolving with each game, and that poor effort has spilled over to the offensive side of the ball as Ron Rivera keeps piling on.

The Mike McCarthy era is speeding towards an unceremonious end, and the lack of fight the main reason Dallas is failing to challenge Washington. Elliott’s destruction is the cherry on top of an awful day for the Cowboys, who appear closer to last place than any sort of playoff spot in the laughable NFC East.
