Can the Pittsburgh Steelers keep their undefeated season alive?
Entering the second half of the season, one team remains undefeated. Despite starting off the season 8-0, the Pittsburgh Steelers are on the outside looking in as the top seed in the AFC. And while a win over the Cincinnati Bengals (2-5-1) won’t convince anyone the Steelers are taking over the conference, a victory is still a victory.
Pittsburgh struggled early last Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington. Ben Roethlisberger would leave the game with injuries to both knees before retuning in the third quarter. He’d lead a 15-point comeback in the fourth quarter to pick up a 24-19 victory.
Roethlisberger is expected to start Sunday’s outing after spending the week on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Although he did not practice, the 38-year-old has remained in constant communication with offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner, helping to prepare for the AFC North showdown. On the year, Roethlisberger has culminated 1,934 yards and 18 touchdowns against four interceptions.
Joe Burrow will be looking to continue his hot streak towards Andrew Luck’s rookie passing record of 300-yard games. This season, the No.1 overall pick has pass the marker five times, placing him one behind the former Colts starter. Defensively, the Bengals will be stumbling to find stability in the secondary after a string of COIVD-19 test has put them limited at cornerback.
