This is how the LSU football program needs to pitch Arch Manning to get him to Baton Rouge.

LSU football fans would be so elated if the Tigers secure Arch Manning‘s five-star commitment.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Manning is the No. 1 pro-style passer in the 2023 recruiting cycle, the No. 1 player from Louisiana and the No. 3 overall prospect in his class. The grandson of Archie Manning and the nephew of Eli and Peyton Manning has 10 formal offers, including from Alabama, LSU and Texas, the three schools who are seen as his early leaders.

Even though the Isidore Newman standout is a three-time Ole Miss legacy by way of his grandfather, his Uncle Eli and his father Cooper Manning, as well as a Tennessee legacy through his Uncle Peyton, there are so many reasons why the LSU Tigers are in the early driver’s seat to get him. Though Manning has two years left in high school, his recruitment remains fascinating.

This should be LSU’s pitch to get Manning to Baton Rouge over the likes of Alabama and Texas.

LSU football: Here is how Tigers get Arch Manning’s commitment for 2023

The first thing LSU must do is mess with Texas and negatively recruit the hell out of Steve Sarkisian’s Longhorns program. Texas hasn’t been back since Manning was in elementary school. The last time Texas won a national title, neither of his uncles had won a Super Bowl before. This is consistently the second-best program in the Big 12 and one where entitlement runs rampant.

Even though Sarkisian is a great coach, he does have a troubled past. Can he be trusted with the college career of next star quarterback from America’s football royal family? Plus, it is and always will be complete and utter blasphemy for a Manning to play anywhere other than in the SEC. Austin is a cool city, but the excessive flights from New Orleans to small Big 12 towns will get old.

Once LSU completely debases the Texas program, Ed Orgeron and his staff must paint their biggest competitor for Manning’s commitment in a terrible light. Admittedly, it will be very difficult to make Alabama look bad, but that is what it will take to keep the youngest Manning in-state and prevent him from joining the Evil Empire over in Tuscaloosa. Does Manning want to be truly hated?

Nick Saban will be in his 70s by the time Manning were to arrive on Alabama’s campus. Playing for a bitter rival of Uncle Peyton’s Volunteers could cut him out of his will. Think about all the “chicken parm, you taste so good” money he would be missing out on. You also don’t want to go to a team where your head coach can retire before you can legally drink. Who knows who replaces Saban?

By going to Alabama, Manning will be looked at as a product of the Crimson Tide system more than the pro-passing prodigy he is coming out of high school. He will have at least three different offensive coordinators during his time in college. Plus, there are no guarantees he will see the field until midway through his redshirt sophomore season. Yes, Manning might have to take a redshirt.

Now that Alabama’s image has been tarnished in Manning’s eyes, here is how Coach O and his staff show him the love and get his father Cooper to yell, “Geaux Tigahs!” The No. 1 player from the State of Louisiana always plays at LSU. Does Manning want to be the lone exception in the last decade-plus, or does he want to be exceptional? It is time for a Manning to Call Baton Rouge.

Not only can Manning win it all at LSU, he can win something no Manning has ever won before: A Heisman Trophy. Alabama and Texas have never had a Heisman-winning quarterback, only runner-ups. If Manning wants to know where the bar is at LSU, look no further than The Geauxt Joe Burrow. Keep in mind that Burrow had to transfer to LSU after losing a job to Dwayne Haskins.

Last and most certainly not least, the biggest selling point for Manning to LSU is that he will play all of his home games at Death Valley. If he needs to be convinced how awesome of a home environment Tiger Stadium is, he can pick the brain of fellow Isidore Newman great Odell Beckham Jr. Though he shouldn’t take any money from OBJ, Manning should listen to his advice.

If Manning does sign with LSU in 2023, you can count on a national title in four year’s time.
