Denver Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater took a terrifying hit Sunday afternoon, but it looks like he’s recovering as he was released from the hospital.

After Denver Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater suffered a frightening head injury in the Broncos game against the Cincinnati Bengals, he needed to be carted off the field and transported to a local hospital for observation.

Thankfully, it appears as if Bridgewater is making a quick recovery as he was just released from the hospital, according to a tweet from ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. Now that he’s out of the hospital, Bridgewater will enter into the NFL’s concussion protocol which will then determine when he will be able to return to play for the Broncos.

Teddy Bridgewater injury update: Bridgewater released from hospital after frightening injury against Cincinnati Bengals

It’s time for the Broncos and Bridgewater to start considering his long-term health and their long term future at quarterback. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first terrifying injury that Bridgewater has dealt with.

In addition to this recent concussion, Bridgewater has had to deal with a couple injury issues this year along. Bridgewater has had to overcome a lower leg injury that briefly sidelined him a few weeks back. Plus there was the concussion that happened back against the Baltimore Ravens a couple months ago.

Going a bit further back in history and you’ll find the devastating knee injury that derailed his time with the Minnesota Vikings.

The 29-year-old quarterback has been through more than his fair share of injuries and he’s proven how tough he can be. There’s no shame in him deciding to call it a career to prevent anything that might have lasting consequences associated with it.
