Trevon Diggs’ son, Aaiden, rose to popularity on Hard Knocks for confusing Dak Prescott for Patrick Mahomes, so the Chiefs QB reached out on Christmas.

Dallas Cowboys fans who tuned into HBO’s Hard Knocks this offseason are sure to remember the star of the show, Aaiden Diggs — son of cornerback Trevon Diggs — adorably getting Dak Prescott confused with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Naturally, it’s been a running gag among Cowboys fans and even with Mahomes himself getting in on the fun at times. However, the Chiefs quarterback went the extra mile during the holiday season as he reached out to Aaiden.

For Christmas, the young Cowboys superfan got a gift from the quarterback. Naturally, it was a Patrick Mahomes Chiefs jersey, but it also had a special autograph and message from the all-world signal-caller that was a perfect personal touch to make it an unforgettable holiday gift.

This is truly awesome stuff from Mahomes to Aaiden Diggs. He may still get the Chiefs star confused with Dak from time to time, but he’s surely not going to forget Mahomes in any manner after something like this.

It’s also refreshing to see something like this from one of the NFL’s biggest stars.

All told, Patrick Mahomes could very much cut himself off from most things and just enjoy being a masterful quarterback making an inordinate amount of money. But for him to reach out to an opposing team’s player’s son for Christmas with such a sweet message really speaks highly of his character.
