Kirby Smart is looking to get his team to make a major breakthrough. The Georgia Bulldogs are trying to beat the Alabama Crimson Tide in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. That’s easier said than done.

Smart will need to find a way to guide his Bulldogs past one of the most talented teams around. He’ll also have to out coach arguably the best coach of all time, Nick Saban, Smart’s former mentor.

Smart hasn’t had much luck against Saban since leaving Alabama’s coaching staff to embark on his own head coaching journey.

The Crimson Tide currently holds a seven-game win streak over Georgia. While three of those matchups occurred prior to Smart’s time as Georgia’s head coach, the other four happened with Smart running things. One of those Alabama wins over the Bulldogs happened in a national title game as the Crimson Tide came back to beat Georgia 26-23 in overtime.

So, it’s safe to say that Smart and the Bulldogs are looking for a bit of revenge.
