As the UNC Tar Heels advance on to the Elite Eight, UNC star Armando Bacot certainly seems thrilled with his team’s success.

Friday evening, the North Carolina Tar Heels were able to eliminate the UCLA Bruins in the Sweet 16. The win was huge for a number of reasons and it puts the Tar Heels one step closer to competing for a championship this year.

Of course, with the win, it seems like the Tar Heels are thrilled, as they should be! This is a big deal and it’s worth celebrating. That extends out to stars like North Carolina’s Armando Bacot, who took to Twitter to express his excitement.

UNC Tar Heels: Armando Bacot, North Carolina to face Saint Peter’s Peacocks in Elite Eight

The Tar Heels will now get the pleasure of facing the Saint Peter’s Peacocks in the Elite Eight. Given how Saint Peter’s has performed throughout the NCAA Tournament, no North Carolina fans should start counting that one as a given win.

But, if the Tar Heels are able to get great performances from guys like Bacot and Caleb Love, then maybe North Carolina will get the opportunity to advance on to the Final Four. Or maybe we’ll see the Peacocks’ Cinderella run continue on.

North Carolina and Saint Peter’s will play in Pennsylvania on Sunday, March 27 at 5:05 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on CBS.
