With North Carolina taking on Saint Peter’s on Sunday, the Tar Heels could reach the Final Four for a mind-blowing 21st time.

College basketball fans across the globe will be on the edge of their seats on Sunday with No. 8 North Carolina all set to take on No. 15 Saint Peter’s. This should be an electric matchup, with a trip to the Final Four on the line.

No one expected these two teams to be in this position, as Baylor and Kentucky figured to be in the Elite Eight. Instead, North Carolina took down Baylor in the second round, while Saint Peter’s stunned Kentucky in the first round. With a win over Saint Peter’s, the Tar Heels will be in the Final Four for the 21st time.

North Carolina basketball seeks its 21st Final Four appearance vs. Saint Peter’s

The Tar Heels have been to the Final Four 20 times, which is an NCAA record. On top of that, North Carolina has won the NCAA Tournament six times, with the most recent triumph coming in 2017. That season, UNC beat Gonzaga in the National Championship Game.

Many think North Carolina will be able to take care of business against the Peacocks, as it’s 8.5-point favorites. Despite the odds being stacked against them, Saint Peter’s is on a magical run and shouldn’t be overlooked.

The Tar Heels figure to be led on Sunday by Caleb Love and Brady Manek, as the two have been superb throughout the tournament. Being a No. 8 seed, North Carolina didn’t have many believers in them, but they’ve silenced so many haters. With a win against Saint Peter’s and a 21st trip to the Final Four, even more hoops fans will be left speechless.
