While there will be plenty of attention to the prime time matchup and what each team is able to do on the field, but there is also expected to be a very emotional moment for Bengals defensive end Devon Still in a planned ceremony.

Still’s daughter, Leah Still, has been in Philadelphia receiving treatment for pediatric cancer.

The Bengals defender has been communicating with his daughter mainly through Skype while she receives her treatment, but on Thursday night Leah Still is expected to be in attendance to hand her father a check for the amount of money which was raised for the Children’s Hospital Medical Center to help fight pediatric cancer by selling Still’s No. 75 jersey.

Over $1.25 million has been raised, and Leah Still is expected to be there when the check is handed over by the Cincinnati Bengals.

“It’s going to be added motivation just knowing my daughter is watching me,” Still said, via the Cincinnati Enquirer. “I want her to be able to hear how the crowd cheers that loud whenever I make a tackle, so I’m going to go out there and do whatever I can to put a smile on her face. It’s a fast week and I don’t want to get caught up in too much emotion with my daughter, [but] it will probably be the most special game I’m ever going to play because I know my daughter is going to be here to watch me play.

“All the money that’s been raised for the cancer research is because of her strength and because she’s fighting this disease. So it’s definitely going to be an emotional game for me.”

The Bengals – Browns matchup should be a good one to kick off Week 10 of the NFL season, but seeing Leah Still on the field with her father will be an emotional moment that brings much more to the game.

It will be one of those special moments where we realize just how much of an impact sports can have on someone’s life.

Thanks to the classy Bengals franchise, Still’s openness about the family struggle and Leah’s strength, plenty of people will be touched and children fighting pediatric cancer will have the opportunity to get some of the extra help they need.
