Here is the final against the spread pick for the 2015 season, the AT&T National Championship Game!

We have reached the end of the 2015 College Football season. Due to the lull in games (nine days), many of us, including us here at Fantasy CPR, have moved on to the NBA. Well, we still have one game left! The National Championship!

You can’t really argue with the committee this year. They did the job, and they ranked one and two right as they both cruised to the title game. Here is my last pick against the spread for the season. I still topped 50%, but I doubt I finished at 52.5. I had a rough bowl season for the most part. I still did pretty well with my points system though. Be on the lookout for the last results post early next week!

In case you missed how the point scale works, here is a brief rundown:

5. A lock. I am comfortable making a sizable wager on this game.

4. Very confident. Not quite a lock, but I am comfortable making a decent sized wager on it.

3. Middle of the road. Good enough that I would make a small wager on it.

2. Could go either way. So much so that I wouldn’t bet on it.

1. Stay away from these.

Just in case you missed any:

Here is my pick for the National Championship Game!

Alabama(-6.5) vs. Clemson at Glendale, AZ(3):

Both teams made short work of their semifinal opponents. Clemson was able to dominate in the trenches against Oklahoma. The Oklahoma running attack was never able to get open, and Clemson didn’t go down on first contact until the fourth quarter. That is not a recipe to win the game. Every time Clemson ran the ball it was an automatic five yards because their line dominated.

Alabama made even shorter work of Michigan State. The Spartans were completely dominated in this game. This was likely the best Alabama has looked in the last couple of years. That is not a good omen for Clemson.

Clemson has a shot here because of their outstanding line play and because of DeShaun Watson. Alabama had problems with Chad Kelly, who is about the only mobile quarterback they faced this year. We all know how that turned out. That said, Ole Miss has better receivers. The Clemson wideouts are going to have to make plays because Alabama’s run defense might have been the best in the nation this year. It was that good. Just look at what they did to Leonard Fournette. They single-handedly doomed his Heisman Campaign.

Can Watson complete enough passes to keep Clemson in it? Alabama wont be gouged like Oklahoma was. Alabama’s secondary is the weakest part of their team, but it is still in the top quarter of all college teams.

I expect this to be a great game, which is why the line is right where it started. I am quite confident that it wont move more than half a point before kickoff. Some places have it at 7, but it wont go higher. I honestly think that may be a little too high. You can’t say that Clemson wasn’t tested this year. They beat four teams that are currently in the top 15, three of which are still in the top ten. Even Alabama can’t say that this year.

I am going to stop shy of saying that Clemson will win outright, but I don’t think they get covered.

My pick: Clemson

Of the 41 FBS bowl games, I had ten two pointers, 13 three pointers, ten four pointers, and eight five pointers, by far the most of the season. I think that was a really bad idea. I didn’t bring out any ones either. Go big or go home!

I hope you have enjoyed the predictions this year. Don’t forget to come back for the bowl results!
