College Football Picks Against The Spread Midday November 26

College football can be a fickle beast. It is still easier to pick against the spread than the NFL, but when you pick every game, it can get tough. I had my best week of the year last week, but I still have a long way to go and not much time to do it.

More from College Football Odds

In case you don’t know what I do here, I pick every college football game of the season. Against the spread. Trust me, it’s not as easy as it sounds! I take the average of the odds from all of the Vegas casinos. I then round to the nearest half. There will be no ties here. Ties are for the other football (soccer).

This contains the picks for FBS vs. FBS games only. It is too hard to get an accurate spread on games that involve 1-AA teams.

I will assign a point value “bet” on each game, between one and five points. That way you can see just how confident I am in each pick. Look for those at the end of each line.

This is for entertainment purposes only! I cannot be responsible for you losing any of your worldly possessions (or limbs) because of my picks. These are a guideline that you can use to help you with your picks. I am a simple man. I can’t have that on my conscience.

We have our largest week of the year, with 61 games between Tuesday and Saturday this week. 18 of them are between 3:30 and 6 pm eastern on Saturday. Let’s get to those picks!

Just in case you missed any:

Duke at Miami(FL)(-15.5)(2): Given the fact that Duke has won at least two games that they shouldn’t have, I am keeping the bet lower on this one. Miami should roll though.

Florida International at Old Dominion(-13.5)(3): Considering how the Monarchs are playing lately, this looks low. Give me ODU.

San Jose State(-3.5) at Fresno State(1): Well, they both lost to Hawaii, so this is pretty much a toss up. Give me Fresno, I guess.

Mississippi State at Mississippi(-8.5)(1): This is always a close game, and both teams have failed to live up to expectations. Ole Miss needs a win to make a bowl. You can be damn sure the Bulldogs are going to do everything they can to keep them out of one. Give me Mississippi State. Ole Miss isn’t covering.

(13)Auburn at (1)Alabama(-18.5)(4): Okay people, this is the Iron Bowl. The IRON BOWL! No one is winning by this much, especially against a defense like Auburn has. Give me Auburn.

Notre Dame at (12)USC(-17.5)(3): We have every reason to think this game will be a blowout. Only Alabama has played better football since the calendar flipped to October. The Irish are reeling. Hell, they even lost to Navy, which is something they don’t do no matter how down they are. I’m taking USC because of these reasons, but I am nervous.

(25)Navy(-7.5) at SMU(2): Wow……more than a touchdown, and in Dallas? This looks like a trap, especially because SMU is playing so well right now. Give me the Ponies.

(18)West Virginia(-7.5) at Iowa State(2): Don’t get me wrong, last week was a huge win for the Cyclones. However, the Mountaineers actually play defense. Lanning wont run for five touchdowns here. He will be lucky to get one. This game stays really close though, and I don’t like that half. Give me Iowa State.

Michigan State at (7)Penn State(-11.5)(3): Sparty has major road issues, and they aren’t as good as Ohio State let them look. Penn State by a lot!

Minnesota at (6)Wisconsin(-14.5)(2): That’s a pretty big line in a rivalry game. Did Minnesota finally turn a corner last week against a good Northwestern team? If they did, they keep it well within 14. I will take the Gophers.

South Alabama at Idaho(-5.5)(3): The only reason the line is this low is because the Jaguars have shocked Mississippi State and San Diego State, two teams that are far better than the Vandals. The smart money is still on Idaho though.

Troy(-27.5) at Texas State(4): This is low. New Mexico State just beat the Bobcats by 40! Give me Troy.

Appalachian State(-17.5) at New Mexico State(2): The Mountaineers are more than capable of covering this, but both of these are running teams. I’m taking the Mountaineers, but I don’t have a ton of confidence in it.

Tulane(-1.5) at Connecticut(1): Both of these teams are bad, but UConn may be the worst team over the last six weeks. I have to take Tulane.

Oregon(-3.5) at Oregon State(3): We saw three 5-7 teams make it to a bowl last year. There will likely be a few of them doing the same this year. If that happens, you know the Ducks will be one of them. All they have to do is win in Corvallis…..Give me the Ducks.

Nevada at UNLV(-9.5)(2): The winner of this wont be so fortunate. This is their bowl. This stays a one score game. Give me Nevada.

North Texas(-2.5) at UTEP(5): When I said I was done with the Miners, I meant it. Way too low. The Mean Green roll in this one!

Florida Atlantic at Middle Tennessee State(-13.5)(2): This looks low. I will take the Blue Raiders at home.
