Rickie Fowler is one of the most popular golfers in the world, but will he be playing The Masters in 2023 after a resurgent start to the year?

After some troubling decline in his play as he tried to reinvent his swing and make other changes as well, Rickie Fowler has re-emerged as one of the to players on the PGA Tour this season. In 12 events this season, he’s finished second once, in the Top 10 four times and in the Top 25 eight times.

It’s safe to say that Rickie Fowler has started to find himself once again. However, with The Masters looming this week at Augusta National Golf Club, it’s all been about the fan-favorite trying to find his way into the field.

So now that Masters week is upon us, the question that fans of Fowler want to know is if he is going to be playing at Augusta.

Is Rickie Fowler playing The Masters 2023?

Unfortunately, Rickie Fowler will not be playing The Masters in 2023.

Coming into this past week’s Valero Texas Open, Fowler ranked No. 59 in the world, outside of the Top 50 needed to qualify for the field at Augusta. That left the only avenue for him to qualify to be winning the tournament. Even with a 6-under final round, he only finished T10, meaning that he didn’t ultimately get into The Masters field.

That’s unfortunate for anyone hoping to see the Puma-clad and mustachioed star on the course at Augusta National, to be sure. However, the arrow is pointed up in a big way for Fowler and we should see him qualify for majors throughout the rest of the season and, if he continues this play, he should be a Top 50 player in the world next year, meaning that he is on track to qualify for The Masters in 2024 as of right now.
