Mike is currently a contributor at CagePages.com and a writer/photographer at EXTRA Bilingual Newspapers in Chicago. He is also a former MMA Featured Columnist at Bleacher Report. Mike has covered 13 UFC events: 11 as a photographer and 2 as a photo editor with ESPN. Before getting into writing, Mike boxed during his time in the Navy and spent two years in Thailand training and competing in muay thai bouts. He also wrestled in high school and studied a little Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Currently, he is working on a master's in journalism at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
