July 28, 2015 – The Washington Nationals have struck a deal with the Philadelphia Phillies that will send Phillies closer Jonathan Papelbon to the Nats in exchange for RHP Nick Pavetta. Papelbon will also restructure his deal in order to guarantee his 2016 option year.
