He has previous experience covering high school, college, and pro sports across DFW with the Dallas Express and has contributed work to the College Football Dawgs as a Lead SEC Writer covering Texas and Texas A&M, Last Word on Sports as a Dallas Stars Beat Writer, and the Dallas Morning News as a freelance high school football reporter. He has also appeared on sports podcasts as a guest and host/co-host. Travis is a member of the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), the Maxwell Football Club, the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA), the National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), National Sports Media Association (NSMA), and Dallas Influencers in Sports and Entertainment (DISE). He's a Michigan State and SMU graduate and an avid Detroit sports fan with a vast knowledge of sports facts and history.
