Dominick Petrillo is a blind journalist who has joined as a contributor for the national college football desk. Since becoming blind in 2012, Dominick has been privileged enough to do freelance work for the Philadelphia Eagles, The Athletic, The Sporting News and many other companies. Dominick has also had the ability to cover ACC football kickoff as a credentialed member of the media. Dominick also does human interest stories. Both about himself and others who are struggling. Dominick, having grown up and lived in Philadelphia his entire life, is a childhood fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Penn State, Nittany Lions, and Villanova Wildcats. In his off hours, Dominick focuses his attention to his girlfriend, his dog and his advocacy for disability rights, women’s rights, civil rights and more of his passionate causes. In July 2026, Dominick was appointed as a Commissioner on the Governor’s Advisory Commission on People with Disabilities for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by Governor Josh Shapiro. An appointment he takes very seriously.
